Manual Turner

Westwood Recruitment are currently on the lookout for a Manual Turner for our client based in Stockport on a permanent basis with an immediate start available. Our client manufactures its own products as well as one offs and small batch work.

Role Responsibilities:

• Use precision measurement equipment effectively and accurately
• Be continuously making attempts to help improve productivity and work methods
• Reading engineering drawings to customer specifications accurately
• Work to company & COSHH regulations whilst being aware of risk assessments and work procedures
• Ensure that all relevant documentation is completed
• Ensure equipment is regularly maintained to be in good working order and to report any faults immediately
• Keeping the work area tidy and free from obstacles

Role Requirements:

• Experience as a Manual Turner/Centre Lathe Turner is essential
• Either have a City & Guilds/NVQ in Engineering or be time served
• Experience operating on XYZ machinery is beneficial but not essential
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Can work independently

Benefits:

• Salary is 27,000 to 30,000 dependent on experience
