On behalf of our client school, Tradewind are seeking a dedicated Year 5 teacher for a full-time role commencing asap. This role will pay to scale (MPS1-6) and the school are looking to appoint an individual committed to excellence in the classroom.

As the Year 5 Teacher, you will be responsible for an averaged sized class where children predominantly are working below age related expectations. You will be tasked with the challenge of accelerating progress, raising attainment levels and supporting children in making positive choices. Not only this, you will have a full-time teaching assistant in Year 5 who is pro-active and has established strong relationships with the class. Year 5 Teacher - Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will:

Bring creativity, enthusiasm, and energy into the classroom, making learning fun and engaging for young children.

Have a strong knowledge and understanding of the Year 5 curriculum and know how to scaffold and stretch activities to maximise potential

Plan engaging lessons linked to real life scenarios and assess children's progress to determine the need for intervention

Continually seek to improve your practice, embracing feedback and new teaching strategies.

Have strong communication skills and act well as an independent educator as well as a team player, contributing to a supportive school culture

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience in teaching at the primary level - KS2 highly desirable
  • A clear understanding of the National Curriculum and its application in the classroom
  • Applicants will also be subject to an enhanced DBS check and need proof of right to work in the UK.
