Job Title:Teaching Assistant
Location: Stockport
Salary:£23,400 to £24,765 depending on experience
Hours:Full time, Term time only

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join an exceptional provision offering education and support to children aged 5-17 with complex educational needs, communication difficulties and challenging behaviour.
Duties of the role will include:

  • Mentoring, supporting and inspiring learners by supporting them with curriculum-based learning in the classroom, on home tuition and outreach and through outdoor activities
  • Assist with the preparation of learning material and contributing to the delivery of learning objectives with a strong focus on behavioural management
  • Daily reports on learners progress and barriers to learning
  • Interaction with parents/care givers on a regular basis

Requirements:
  • A committed and passionate view of students with SEND
  • At least two years experience minimum of working in a SEND environment or similar unit/provision
  • A level 3 TA qualification is advantageous but not essential
  • Full driving licence and own car as travel to site in Knutsford will also be required
