We are proud to be working with an exceptional managed service provider in their search for a skilled IT Support Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and ambitious IT professional to join a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting and maintaining the IT, telephony, and connectivity infrastructure of the client's customers. You will deliver high-quality technical assistance to end users, resolve complex issues, and contribute to the improvement of their support services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide second-line technical support to end users, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of hardware and software issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve escalated IT incidents, collaborating with first-line support, wider technical teams, and third-party vendors where necessary.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Implement system upgrades and patches to maintain security and stability within clients' IT environments.
  • Identify and resolve network issues, including connectivity, access point configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Partner with the Head of Technology to manage proactive services, including the development of alerts and monitoring systems for standard and custom solutions.
  • Utilise tools to generate detailed technical reports, analyse trends, and implement solutions to recurring challenges.
  • Troubleshoot VoIP systems and connectivity issues.
  • Support user training and mentoring for both end users and first-line support colleagues.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving issues related to cloud systems, hardware, software, and networks.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and network administration tasks.
  • Experience with VoIP telephony systems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft products, including Premium SKUs, Azure, and Endpoint Manager (preferred).
