Contek are working with a client in Stockport who are a leading name in the design, manufacture, and fabrication of precision-engineered tooling solutions for blue-chip companies, in industries ranging from aerospace and automotive to nuclear power.
Through growth within projects they are looking for skilled fitters to join their large team on a permanent basis.
Working hours - Flexible 4 and a half day week around 35 hours.
Overtime - Time and a half in the week and double time Sunday.
My client carry out the manufacture and installations of bespoke equipment including jigs, fixtures and tooling of various sizes. With a facility consisting offabrication, machining and installation capacities including 5-axis CNC machining, conventional and CNC turning, jig borers, and portable arm CMMs.
Experience required:
- Skilled within Mechanical fitting within versatile/bespoke environments.
- Ideally having experience working in an Aerospace, Defence or Nuclear manufacturing environment.
- Use of various hand/power tools.
- Working to and reading of engineering drawings/schematics.
- Manual machining techniques - milling/turning/grinding (Desirable but not required).
- Welding fabrication (Desirable but not required).
- Building and stripping of various assemblies and projects.
