- Manage stock purchasing for the category, adhering to company guidelines and category plans.
- Effectively introduce new products to market, ensuring smooth launches and ongoing product visibility on the company's website.
- Review and optimise stock agreements while capitalising on supplier/vendor incentives and rebates.
- Stay ahead of the competition by managing the latest category promotions on the website.
- Ensure high data quality in supplier/vendor price feeds and troubleshoot any issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams, warehouse, and third-party logistics to ensure smooth stock movements and deliveries.
- Attend supplier meetings and play an active role in ensuring the best product availability and profitability.
- Generate routine and ad-hoc reports on spend and profitability, providing insightful recommendations to improve category efficiency.
- Support purchasing staff by covering tasks and assisting with team goals.
- Ensure compliance with all purchasing legislation and company policies.
You will need to succeed:
- Strong numeracy skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Methodical, diligent, and able to manage complex tasks efficiently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to handle complex spreadsheets.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication.
- Experience in an analytical or category management role.
