  • Manage stock purchasing for the category, adhering to company guidelines and category plans.
  • Effectively introduce new products to market, ensuring smooth launches and ongoing product visibility on the company's website.
  • Review and optimise stock agreements while capitalising on supplier/vendor incentives and rebates.
  • Stay ahead of the competition by managing the latest category promotions on the website.
  • Ensure high data quality in supplier/vendor price feeds and troubleshoot any issues.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, warehouse, and third-party logistics to ensure smooth stock movements and deliveries.
  • Attend supplier meetings and play an active role in ensuring the best product availability and profitability.
  • Generate routine and ad-hoc reports on spend and profitability, providing insightful recommendations to improve category efficiency.
  • Support purchasing staff by covering tasks and assisting with team goals.
  • Ensure compliance with all purchasing legislation and company policies.

You will need to succeed:

  • Strong numeracy skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Methodical, diligent, and able to manage complex tasks efficiently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to handle complex spreadsheets.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication.
  • Experience in an analytical or category management role.
