Job Overview
The role works within the VCG procurement and logistics team that is responsible for procuring third party services and hardware for VCG and the customers that we serve. The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the warehousing and logistics activities for VCG and plays a critical role in ensuring VCG customer an industry leading customer service experience.
The team is integral to the business and interacts across all teams. The team are hands on but focussed on process efficiencies and business support / improvement under the direction of the Group Operations Director.
The interaction with the business is key and the successful candidate will receive full support but will be expected to work under their own initiative. Personal motivation and a desire to learn is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehousing and Logistics activities to include, but not limited to:
Preparing hardware for our Engineering team to configure for our customers
Shipping hardware to customer sites in the UK and EU
Working with our Third-Party partners to manage hardware spares at forward locations for our Field Engineers
Keeping our Provisioning and Project Management teams updated with the progress of their customer orders
Recording serial numbers, product SKUs and service contract information of purchased items on our customer database.
Managing customer returns for faulty goods and ensuring requests are handled in a timely manner and within required deadlines.
Assisting with stock takes.
Assisting with system & process improvements.
Order Processing activities to include, but not limited to:
Creating purchase orders for goods and services associated with customer orders.
Purchasing goods and services for internal use.
Managing lead times on back ordered equipment and expediting orders when required.
Receipting invoices against purchase orders and ensuring that the supplier invoices have the correct pricing.
Ensuring supplier credit notes are obtained when necessary.
Assisting the finance team with invoicing queries.
Ensuring procurement KPIs are met.
Experience Skills:
Customer service experience essential must have a customer centric mindset
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Highly numerate
Attention to detail
Highly motivated and organised
Ability to prioritise and manage multiple activities, without direct supervision in a fast-paced environment
A team player with high level of dedication
Ability to work to tight deadlines
Good Microsoft Excel skills
