The Company

 

My client, who is a leading manufacturer and distributor of retail products is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to join their team.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business with a people centric culture.

 

Warehouse Shift Manager Requirements:

  • Experience using a WMS system
  • FLT License or previous experience using an FLT (Bendi/REACH preferred)
  • Experienced using computers and office packages
  • Experience managing teams and delivering training
  • Ability to make decisions and act autonomously
  • Experience with conducting return to works
  • Experience managing KPI’s
  • Experience dealing with a high volume if SKU’s
  • To be able to motivate a team to achieve targets
  • Be able to hold briefings.
  • Ability to think quickly and clearly under pressure.

 

 

Nightshift Warehouse Manager Duties:

  • To ensure all workload targets are met as a minimum requirement daily, in line with business expectations.
  • Responsible for all H&S issues within the area they supervise and to notify line manager of any H&S incidents or near misses they see anywhere around the site.
  • To conduct RTW for staff on the shift and ensure a consistent approach to the absence policy.
  • To ensure hygiene standards are at a high level when handing over the site to the day team.
  • To drive efficiency across the team, working with the senior management team on initiatives to improve performance
  • To report any IT /System issues to the IT manager and Site Manager with detailed report of any issues to ensure we can resolve and fix asap
  • To be flexible in terms of working hours and be able to work the required hours to ensure completion of all aspects of the role to a high standard.
  • To build close working relationships with other areas of the site
  • To ensure any truck issues are reported immediately to the H&S Manager and that all trucks and batteries are used to their optimum efficiency.
  • To action performance management of any staff not hitting required capability or conduct levels in accordance with the escalation process.
  • To plan the workload for their team with the end goal to set the day team up with a clean and clear warehouse
