We are looking for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a bias towards Electrical, for a full time, permanent role in Stockport at a manufacturing site. Your key responsibility is to maintain all electrical/mechanical equipment on site including services, distribution and plant machinery.

40 hours per week 7.30am-4.30pm Monday to Friday.

MUST HAVE:

  • Apprentice Trained.
  • Minimum Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Maintenance or installation
  • Current 18th edition IEE regulations to BS7671.
  • Hands on Maintenance of a variety of Machinery (including Packing, cutting, coating, heating and mixing machines)
  • Experience in a Factory environment
  • Electrical Installation including armored cable, lighting and power.
  • Fault Finding skills and ability to interpret schematic drawings.

OTHER DUTIES:

  • To carry out electrical/mechanical installation work as required for new plant, machinery, equipment and services ensuring compliance with the relevant current legislation.
  • To meet requirements of all departments at our Stockport site, as seconded in their daily operations by carrying out various electrical, mechanical, and miscellaneous works.
  • To be proactively involved in monitoring the condition of services and machinery reporting defects to the General Manager immediately.
  • To carry out portable/fixed appliance testing in line with current regulations and keep records accordingly.
  • To carry out all machinery planned maintenance in accordance with the instruction of the General Manager, in line with the manufacturers instruction and current legislation.
  • Action specific work as detailed on maintenance/project request forms.
  • Diagnose and repair (where possible), electrical/mechanical faults that occur in the building services, plant, machinery and other electrical/mechanical equipment.

Salary is Dependent on Experience.
