An experienced Associate Mechanical Engineer is sought to join the Building Services team of a Stockport Consultancy. This role offers a unique opportunity to become involved in various aspects of the business, including managing a team of engineers, organizing resources, overseeing project delivery, and preparing quotations for Mechanical Engineering works. The Associate Mechanical Engineer - Building Services will work as part of a local team of Building Design professionals. The team handles a wide range of projects which is mostly Healthcare but also includes Commercial, Public Sector, and Education projects.
This role will involve client-facing responsibilities and day-to-day project design and management. The position also provides an excellent chance to further develop technical skills while gaining experience in the BIM sector and improving proficiency in software tools such as MagiCAD and Revit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver sustainable, high-quality mechanical design solutions that meet project requirements.
- Manage project timelines and ensure deadlines are met.
- Allocate resources efficiently and coordinate tasks for successful project completion.
- Represent the company professionally in external client meetings.
- Provide mechanical design expertise across the office.
- Maintain exceptional levels of client service.
- Ensure the implementation of QA procedures.
- Contribute to the company's technical excellence strategy.
- Mentor and develop junior team members.
Requirements:
- Incorporated/Chartered Engineer with a proven track record.
- Or HNC/Degree-qualified in a relevant discipline, with technical expertise gained through experience.
- Knowledge of project financials, including fee forecasting, preparation, and resourcing.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A passion for digital design innovation and forward-thinking.
