Role Profile

My client is an established engineering business in Stockport, looking to hire a Graduate or Junior Mechanical Engineer for an exciting new role in their Engineering Team.

The main purpose of this role will be to provide technical advice on product design, operation, maintenance and repair to a range of internal and external stakeholders, and to update / maintain CAD drawings and technical specifications.

Whether you have recently graduated and are looking for your first engineering role, or you have a few years' experience and are looking for a new challenge, we'd love to hear from you!

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist with the design control process for engineered parts
  • Process engineering change requirements and modifications
  • Update CAD engineering drawings and technical specifications when required
  • Respond to technical queries from suppliers, customers and internal colleagues across the business
  • Support the Quality team with any issues raised with supplier parts
  • Support Procurement in identifying appropriate spare parts required for servicing and repair
  • Assist the Sales and Commercial teams with technical data/information for customer tenders and quotations
  • Provide remote technical support to the Field Service Engineering team

Skills & Experience:

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
  • Working knowledge of AutoCad
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem solving / investigative skills
  • Ambition and commitment to developing engineering career with a fantastic global business
