Kasmir Associates are exclusively recruiting for a leading manufacturing company in Bredbury seeking an experienced and dynamic Production Manager. This role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the production department, managing a team of 10, including 2 team leaders, across various areas such as print, acrylics, PVC, CNC cutting, polishing, and more. You will ensure all jobs are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget, while also driving improvements in time efficiencies across the production process.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, a proven ability to drive performance improvements, and a passion for continuous development. Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Manage and motivate a team of 10 production operatives, including 2 team leaders, ensuring smooth operations across all areas of production.
  • Operational Efficiency & Time Management: Oversee all aspects of the production process, ensuring adherence to timeframes and identifying opportunities for time efficiency improvements. Optimize workflows to ensure that production targets are met faster and more effectively.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor staff performance, productivity, and job times, ensuring targets are met and issues are addressed promptly. Analyse production data to identify areas where time efficiencies can be improved.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with Sales, Estimating, Procurement, Warehouse, and Finance teams to resolve production issues and align with company objectives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence, reduce costs, and enhance overall efficiency, including time management processes.
  • Cost Management: Manage production budgets and resources, ensuring that costs are controlled and resources are utilized efficiently.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety regulations, maintaining a safe and secure working environment.
  • Customer Service & Quality: Ensure products meet high-quality standards and customer service targets are achieved.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Qualifications: A formal qualification in manufacturing or a related discipline (degree, HND, or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: Ideally 5 years of management experience within FMCG manufacturing and warehousing
    • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
    • Experience in driving continuous improvement (CI) projects, particularly in time efficiencies and performance management.
    • Proven track record of cost control and budget management.
    • Proficiency in using production management systems (Sage, scanning systems or similar).
    • Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to make data-driven decisions and solve problems effectively.
