Night Shift Moulding Technician
We are seeking an experienced Night Shift Moulding Technician to join our highly regarded and established team. About the Role:
This is a full-time, permanent position working 10 pm - 6 am, Monday to Friday after an initial induction period on day shifts. You’ll be working with Borche and Bole injection moulding machines and robotics equipment, ensuring that production runs efficiently and products meet the highest standards of quality.
The ideal candidate will play an integral role in supporting the production team by troubleshooting any machinery issues and maintaining a smooth operation throughout the night shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Operation & Monitoring: Operate and oversee injection moulding machines (Borche, Bole) and ensure smooth, uninterrupted production.
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve any technical issues that may arise with machines and robotics to minimise downtime.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular product checks to ensure that all manufactured parts meet the company’s quality standards and customer specifications.
- Process Optimisation: Continuously look for ways to improve production efficiency and reduce waste without compromising on quality.
- Documentation & Reporting: Accurately document production runs, performance metrics, and any technical faults.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Production Supervisor and maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability.
Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within plastic injection moulding is essential.
- Machine Knowledge: Familiarity with Borche and Bole machines and/or robotic systems is highly desirable.
- Troubleshooting Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for quality and adherence to production standards.
- Communication: Strong communication skills to report issues and work as part of a team.
- Qualifications: Technical certification or relevant engineering qualification is preferred.
