Are you a passionate and dedicated music teacher looking for an exciting opportunity to inspire young musicians? We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented individual to join our team as a Music Teacher on a maternity cover basis.

About the Role:

As a Music Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality music lessons to students across various age groups. You will be expected to foster a love of music, develop students’ musical skills, and contribute to the wider musical life of the school, including concerts, performances, and extracurricular activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver dynamic and inclusive music lessons in line with the school’s curriculum.

  • Teach a range of musical styles and instruments, encouraging creativity and expression.

  • Prepare students for performances, concerts, and school events.

  • Support and contribute to the school’s extracurricular music activities, such as choirs, ensembles, or orchestras.

  • Assess and monitor students’ progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.

  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to enhance the school’s music provision.

Requirements:**
  • A recognised teaching qualification (QTS/PGCE or equivalent) or relevant experience in music education.

  • Strong musical proficiency and ability to teach a variety of musical styles and instruments.

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

  • Passion for music education and the ability to inspire students.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
