Specialist Occupational Therapist (Children's & Adults)

Contract: Permanent

Working hours: (Minimum 22.5 hours a week term time only) up to full time

Salary: Starting from £37k ( dependent on experience, qualifications, years qualified)

Location: Stockport (Community based)

Our private client in Stockport are seeking a Specialist Occupational Therapist to support their team working across the Community in Stockport on a permanent basis.

You will engage with clients and families of a range of ages, experiencing a range of diagnoses and needs, including ASC, Sensory Processing Difficulties, Cerebal Palsy, Down Syndrome etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather information and building therapeutic rapport with those using the service.
  • Utilise standardised assessments to produce professional reports and provide feedback to parents to discuss Occupational Therapy outcomes and recommendations.
  • Clinically reason the most appropriate intervention to achieve goals, relating to several areas of occupational engagement inc handwriting difficulties, concentration levels, physical strength, issues with coordination etc.
  • Also undertake a supervisor role for newly qualified Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants and Student Occupational Therapists.

Requirements:

  • Must have at least Diploma/BSc in Occupational Therapy or equivalent and have HCPC registration.
  • Paediatric experience (minimum 2 years)
