Cover Supervisor - Secondary Mainstream School

Location: Stockport, SK8

Salary: £90 - £120 per day 

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 3:00pm

Job Duties:

As a Cover Supervisor at a Secondary Mainstream School located in Stockport, your primary responsibility will be to supervise students when their regular teacher is absent. Your duties will include:

  • Delivering pre-prepared lessons to classes across different subjects.
  • Ensuring students are on task and engaged in their learning.
  • Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • Providing support to students in their learning activities.
  • Following the school's policies and procedures at all times.
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following qualifications:

  • A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or be willing to obtain one.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work well under pressure.
Knowledge and Skills:

The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge and skills:

  • Understanding of effective classroom management techniques.
  • The ability to effectively follow lesson plans.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Prior experience as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar role.
