About the role

We are seeking a DT Teacher (Design & Technology Teacher) to join one of our client schools in the Stockport area. The desired DT Teacher will be working with students with a wide range of abilities and levels, working across keys stage 3 and key stage 4.

Experience of teaching a number of DT disciplines would be hugely advantageous. The school is seen as a pillar in the local community and consistently excells with Ofsted

The role of a DT teacher 

  • Plan GCSE DT lessons that are engaging and adapt to various abilities
  • Strong knowledge of the curriculum
  • Use strong de-escalation strategies to keep the students engaged
  • Ability to effectively develop the confidence and social skills of pupils

Requirements for DT TEACEHR

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Degree in Physical edeucation 
  • Experience delivering GCSE DT lessons at Secondary Level
  • Strong subject knowledge
  • Ability to effectively develop the confidence and social skills of pupils
  • An understanding of working with students with SEN and SEMH needs
  • An understanding of pupils’ behaviour patterns when experiencing complex needs
