We are looking to recruit an EYFS teacher with strong knowledge of the Early Years framework to work on a part-time basis in a highly reputable school in Stockport!

Tradewind are looking to appoint an EYFS teacher to teach in a two-form entry school in Heald Green, Stockport. This is part-time class teacher post will commence January 2024 on a 3 day a week basis and will continue until the end of the academic year with the potential to extend until Christmas. This position comes with a competitive salary which will reflect your experience and this school will consider all teachers with a background in Early Years.

This school was awarded 'Outstanding' in their most recent Ofsted report in Early Years Management. The EYFS team deliver a rich curriculum supports personal, physical, social and emotional learning encourage pupils to learn independently as well as in partners and small groups . Children have ample opportunity to develop their gross and fine motorskills and benefit form large outdoor learning spaces where children can explore, ask questions, and interact within the natural environment.

The school is fronted by an experienced Headteacher and dedicated team of staff who work harmoniously and achieve high standards in all areas.

About the Role

As the EYFS teacher, you will be responsible for the learning and provision for the children within the EYFS department. The school support a continuous provision set-up with short spells of directed instruction and believe this combined approach supports effective progress amongst all pupils.

The successful teacher must:

  • Be committed to excellence in teaching and learning within Early Years
  • Have a background in EYFS and understand the framework and how to support children achieving their goals in this early phase of development
  • Be enthusiastic and highly motivated
  • Work well as an individual as well as part of a team and share best practice amongst the early years department to drive high standards
  • Have the ability to form strong, trusting relationships with children and value parents as partners in the learning process
  • Make learning accessible for all and write and review EHCPs where appropriate assessing where children are up to in relation to their targets
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom practice with a strong command of the Early Years framework
  • Holds high expectations of both themselves and the children.

Essential requirements:

  • QTS Certification (or an equivalent teaching qualification)
  • Experience in an Early Years setting with excellent references to support this
