An exciting Quality Inspector position has become available in Stockport at a precision engineering company.

Job Title: Quality Inspector

Shifts: Days, Monday - Thursday 7.30am to 3pm & Friday 7.30am to 12pm

Rate: £17.50 - £18.50 per hour

The Job

Perform detailed inspections of materials, components, and finished products using precision measuring instruments and complex test equipment.
Conduct tests on materials, parts, and products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
Ensure products adhere to company and regulatory standards.
Interpret and apply quality control standards and procedures.
Stay updated on the latest quality control standards and requirements.
Identify and report any defects or non-conformities in products.
Collaborate with the production team to address and resolve quality issues.
Maintain accurate records of inspection results and actions taken.
Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings and providing recommendations.

Requirements

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers) and test equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
CMM experience is a benefit
Scanning would be an advantage
