The Buyer will manage operational purchasing, build supplier relationships, and report on supplier performance.
Candidates should have experience in raw materials or components purchasing within Manufacturing or Engineering.
The role requires strong communication and analytical skills, with an emphasis on running MRP systems.
The position offers a competitive salary, and candidates should have at least a few years of relevant experience.

The CompanyNigel Wright are delighted to be partnering exclusively with a highly successful manufacturing business in the Cheshire area to recruit a Buyer to support their next phase of growth and expansion.The RoleThe Buyer will work within a small, supportive team and will have the following key responsibilities:

Operational Purchasing - Running MRP and raising POs for components and materials, ensuring on time delivery
Liaising with/building relationships with suppliers
Monitoring, managing and reporting upon supplier performance - addressing shortfalls
Building relationships with internal stakeholders - acting as Purchasing lead on key new product introduction activity
Preparing departmental reports, identifying and making suggestions to support continuous improvement

About YouThe Buyer role is ideal for an ambitious Purchasing/Supply Chain professional seeking their next progressive challenge. The successful Buyer will have/be:

Experience of raw materials'/components' purchasing from within Manufacturing/Engineering essential
Experience of supporting new product introduction projects beneficial
Bright, assertive and confident, inquisitive and hungry to learn
Strong communication skills – able to build relationships with ease
Strong analytical/excel skills beneficial, experienced in running MRP systems
