Shift Pattern/Hours: Mon – Fri, 8am – 5pm

 

My client is a main Design & Build contractor based in Manchester that has rapidly grown over the last few years to offer a mixture of services to their clients including Fitouts, Refurbs, Structural extensions & Small Newbuilds.

 

They specialise in small/medium design & build projects across the Commercial, Industrial, Healthcare & Education sectors up to £10m.

 

Overview:

They are currently looking for a Purchasing Assistant with good knowledge of construction materials and an ability to negotiate prices with suppliers. You will play an instrumental role in ordering materials & Managing the delivery for Fitout, Refurb & extension projects within the commercial, Industrial, Healthcare & Education sectors. In your role you will work closely with the project managers, Site Managers, and the pre-con teams.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Chasing up suppliers to ensure items are ready for when required.
  • Updating the procurement schedule.
  • Organising deliveries and Collections.
  • Collate quotes, analyse & negotiate with suppliers.
  • Raise and issue purchase orders.
  • Establish excellent working relationships with suppliers, site teams and contracts management.
  • Process invoices and resolve any invoice queries

 

Must Have:

  • Basic understanding of construction Knowledge
  • A least 2 years within an admin role for a construction company.
  • Highly organized with good attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbally
  • Structured Career History
  • Ability to reach & work from the Stockport Office
