My client are a well-established construction developer and contractor delivering new build construction and housing/extra care schemes across the North West.

With a strong pipeline of diverse and exciting schemes, they are seeking a talented Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. You'll be working on a number of New Build Education and Housing projects up to 20m.

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, your primary responsibilities will include assisting the commercial team with the below:

  • Efficiently manage project costs from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to budgets and financial objectives.
  • Oversee the procurement process, including tendering, negotiation, and contract administration.
  • Proficiently handle various contract forms, including JCT D&B, management contracting, and NEC, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and value enhancement.
  • Effectively manage subcontractor relationships, including procurement, payment applications, and dispute resolution.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with cost, contracts, and procurement.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, forecasts, and cost analysis.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience as an Assistant QS.
