Specializing in both new builds and fit-out/refurbishment projects, we take pride in our collaborative approach and commitment to excellence. Due to continued growth, we are expanding our team and looking for a talented Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join our dynamic team.Position Overview:As a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator, you will play a critical role in managing and estimating costs for projects valued from £100K to £10 million across the Northwest, with occasional travel to sites in the South. This role involves both office-based tasks and regular site visits to ensure project success from initial costing to final delivery. The successful candidate will work closely with our pre-construction and project teams to support seamless project delivery.Key Responsibilities:Estimating Responsibilities:Review tender documentation and break down projects into packages for subcontractor pricing.Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for a range of fit-out, refurbishment, and new build projects.Compile tender returns and ensure accurate submission to clients.Attend site visits, gather essential project information, and assess site conditions.Conduct market research to source subcontractors and suppliers.Prepare take-offs, bills of quantities, and detailed cost breakdowns.Participate in pre-tender meetings, clarifying project scopes with clients as needed.Quantity Surveying Responsibilities:Manage the commercial aspects of projects from inception through to completion, ensuring profitability and cost control.Monitor project progress, valuations, and variations, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations.Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain smooth project delivery.Collaborate with project teams to identify cost-saving measures and value engineering opportunities.Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and quality standards.Provide regular financial reporting to senior management on project performance.Qualifications and Experience:Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator within the construction industry, ideally with a main contractor.Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement methods, and estimating software/tools.Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.Excellent analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.Willingness to travel to project sites as needed and hold a valid UK driving license.Benefits:Competitive salary based on experience.Car allowance.Flexible working hours.Career development opportunities within a growing and supportive company.Time Recruitment Solutions Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
