Our client, a multi-disciplined consultancy, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their Stockport office. Established in 2003, the company has developed into an innovative and dynamic consultancy of skilled professionals, specialising in the design, property care, and management of the built environment.

With ambitious growth plans, including the recent opening of two new offices, this is an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team. Currently employing 25 staff in their Stockport office and with a growing workload, our client is seeking an ambitious individual to join a busy team working on a variety of interesting projects within the education, ecclesiastical, and commercial sectors. Notably, there is a future opportunity to progress into a Head of Quantity Surveying role, leading the development of this key service within the consultancy.

The successful candidate will have prior experience working as a Quantity Surveyor for another consultancy, client-side, or experience preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs).

Quantity Surveyor Job Overview
  • Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and cost estimates for various projects.
  • Manage project budgets, monitor costs, and provide financial reporting to stakeholders.
  • Conduct valuations, prepare interim payment applications, and manage final accounts.
  • Collaborate with design and project teams to ensure cost-effective solutions.
  • Provide advice on contract administration and resolve any contractual or financial disputes.
Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor Job Requirements
  • Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor for a construction consultancy or client-side
  • Willing to commute to Stockport as required
  • Ideally, experience in education or high-rise residential projects (preferred but not essential)
  • MRICS qualified or working towards accreditation (not essential if experienced)
