Senior Quantity Surveyor

Our client, a forward-thinking consultancy established in 2003, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team in Stockport. Having evolved into a dynamic and innovative practice, they specialize in the design, property care, and management of the built environment, delivering high-quality services across a diverse portfolio.

With ongoing expansion-including the launch of two new offices-this is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to play a key role in a thriving business. The Stockport office is home to a talented 25-person team and continues to see an increasing workload spanning the education, ecclesiastical, and commercial sectors. Looking ahead, there is a clear pathway for career progression, with the potential to step into a Head of Quantity Surveying role and lead the development of this key service within the consultancy.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in consultancy or client-side quantity surveying, with experience in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and a keen eye for detail. • Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and cost estimates for various projects.
• Manage project budgets, monitor costs, and provide financial reporting to stakeholders.
• Conduct valuations, prepare interim payment applications, and manage final accounts.
• Collaborate with design and project teams to ensure cost-effective solutions.
• Provide advice on contract administration and resolve any contractual or financial disputes.

• Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor for a construction consultancy or client-side
• Willing to commute to Stockport as required
• Ideally, experience in education or high-rise residential projects (preferred but not essential)
• MRICS qualified or working towards accreditation (not essential if experienced)
