Quantity Surveyor - Civil Engineering

Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team, specialising in groundworks, civils, RC frame, and externals. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing financial aspects and contractual relationships on construction projects. Your responsibilities will include preparing tender documents, performing risk and cost management, and ensuring compliance with JCT and NEC forms of contract. You will collaborate closely with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to deliver projects that meet high standards of quality and efficiency. This role offers opportunities for growth and development within a supportive and innovative environment.

Skills:

  1. Strong knowledge of JCT and NEC forms of contract
  2. Experience in groundworks and civils projects
  3. Ability to manage RC frame and external construction works
  4. Proficiency in cost control and value management
  5. Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  6. Ability to prepare and analyse tender and contract documents
  7. Experience with managing subcontractor relationships
  8. Ability to identify and mitigate commercial risks
  9. Analytical skills with attention to detail
  10. Team player with strong organisational abilities

Certifications & Standards:

  • BSc or equivalent in Quantity Surveying
  • CSCS Card
  • Membership with RICS or similar professional body preferred
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in construction
