Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons in Religious Education to students at KS3 and KS4.
  • Foster a respectful and inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity and critical thinking about diverse beliefs and cultures.
  • Prepare, plan, and assess lessons that meet the curriculum requirements.
  • Track and support student progress through effective feedback and communication with parents and colleagues.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and events.

Essential Requirements:

  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) 
  • Proven experience teaching Religious Education within a secondary school setting is desirable but not essential for early career teachers.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Religious Education.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their potential.
  • Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
