Science teacher - Manchester - summer term A dedicated and passionate Science Teacher is required to work at a popular secondary school in Manchester. The role will start after the Easter break on a full time basis for the rest of the academic year until they close for the summer. There could then be the possibility of you becoming permanent for the start of the next academic year. This position is open to ECTs as well as experienced science teachers. You will be required to teach science to key stage 3 & 4 classes and become fully involved within the department & school, like a permanent member of staff from the beginning, and attend departmental meetings when required, and be available for parents' evenings as well as planning and delivering captivating, high standard lessons that will stretch the pupils in their learning. It would be advantageous if you have previously delivered sessions in a science based after school club or revision sessions, however, this is not essential. Hours 8:30am 4pm EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS: Degree educated with a good classification, preferably in science connected subject. Secondary QTS (PGCE, SCITT, B. Ed, QTS, etc) in science Previous experience working with young people (which we can reference) Experience of teaching in a Secondary School (which we can reference) Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, we can provide the training) Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, again, we can provide the training) Up to date behaviour management & FGM training (essential, however, training can be provided).
