We’re hiring for a Service Manager to join a well-established engineering business in Stockport, Greater Manchester.
This role will involve managing the service department while remaining hands-on with generator maintenance.
What’s on offer?
- £50,000 per year
- Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm
- Early finish on Fridays
- 20 days holiday + plus bank holidays (rising to 25 with service)
- Company vehicle
What will you be doing as a Service Manager?
- Managing a team of Field Engineers and overseeing service operations
- Handling service contracts, customer meetings, and quotations
- Conducting site surveys for new contracts
- Providing hands-on support with repairs and maintenance
- Assisting the Projects Team when required
What do you need?
- Mechanical and electrical expertise in diesel generator systems & control panels
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word)
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Excellent communication abilities to liaise with clients and engineers
