DMD Partners are proud to partner with a highly regarded charitable organisation to recruit a Senior Childrens Residential Support Worker for their welcoming and nurturing short breaks service in Romiley, Stockport.


This excellent service provides residential care for up to five children and young people (ages 5 to 18) with learning disabilities and complex health needs. Offering a safe and supportive environment, the service allows families much-needed respite, while fostering a home-like atmosphere for the children.


As a Senior Childrens Residential Support Worker, you will play a key role in:

  • Leading and inspiring the care team to deliver exceptional support.
  • Supervising and undertaking key worker responsibilities.
  • Ensuring all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant.
  • Contributing to the development of policies and systems to uphold the highest care standards.
  • Promoting an empowering culture that enhances the young peoples life chances and enables them to achieve their potential.
  • Acting as a positive role model within the team.


To be considered for this fantastic opportunity, you will need:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within a residential childrens home.
  • A completed QCF Level 4 in Children, Young People, and Families Practitioner (or equivalent).
  • A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs.
