We are now seeking a compassionate and dedicated KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with special educational needs. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a team that is focused on making a lasting impact on students' lives, particularly those who need additional support to reach their potential.
Your Role:
As a KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting children with various special educational needs within Key Stage 1. Your responsibilities will include:
1:1 and Group Support: Provide targeted support to children with SEN, helping them access the curriculum in a way that suits their individual learning needs, including 1:1 and small group work.
Help create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn.

The ideal candidate will have:
Previous Experience: Experience working with children with SEN, preferably in a KS1 setting, though we are also open to candidates who have experience in other settings (e.g., SEN schools, youth work, or care settings).
Proactive and Creative: A creative approach to adapting resources and finding new ways to engage children in their learning, especially those with varying abilities.
Commitment to Safeguarding: A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, ensuring their well-being is at the heart of everything you do.
Qualifications (Desirable but not Essential): A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent), though candidates with relevant experience and a passion for SEN support will also be considered.
Eligibility Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must:
Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
Have an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or be willing to process a new application.
Provide two professional references related to childcare or education.
Hold up-to-date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable but not essential, as some training is provided).
