SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you dedicated to supporting the educational journey of children with special needs? We are currently looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to provide individualised care and support at a vibrant school in the Stockport, Greater Manchester area. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children with SEN.Key Details:

  • Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30-15:30
  • Contract: Temporary agency supply, long-term

Responsibilities:

  • Support children aged 5-11 with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, MLD, and SLD.
  • Assist in the delivery of a tailored curriculum and contribute to creating an inclusive classroom environment.
  • Work closely with the teaching staff to implement effective strategies that promote student learning and well-being.
  • Engage with students one-on-one or in small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of students, providing feedback to teachers and parents as required.

Requirements:

  • A genuine interest in working with children with SEN and a commitment to their development.
  • Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, students, and parents.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to meeting the needs of the children and the school.
