SEN Level 3 Teaching Assistant Full Time Woodley, Stockport (SK6)

Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced and passionate Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a school located in Woodley, Stockport (SK6). This is a full-time, long-term role with the potential to become permanent after a qualifying period. The successful candidate will need to have strong classroom experience and be ready to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a 1:1 or group basis.

Role Overview:

Location: Woodley, Stockport (SK6)
Position: SEN Level 3 Teaching Assistant
Type of Work: Full-time, Long-term (temp-to-permanent)
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 8:30 am 3:30 pm (Monday to Friday)
Contract Type: Temporary leading to permanent (subject to qualifying period)
Pay: GBP95+ per day, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored support for students with SEN, including those with Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC), Learning Difficulties (LD), and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Work closely with the classroom teacher to adapt lesson plans and create a positive learning environment for all students.
Assist in managing and encouraging positive behaviour within the classroom and during outdoor activities.
Use your Level 3 qualification and prior classroom experience to help deliver targeted educational support.
Engage with students both in 1:1 and small group settings, fostering their personal, emotional, and academic growth.

Experience, Training, and Qualifications:

Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is required.
Previous experience in a classroom setting supporting children with SEN is essential.
Understanding of behaviour management strategies and experience working with students with ASC, LD, or SEMH.
Safeguarding training is beneficial (training can be provided if necessary).


Requirements:

Right to work in the UK.
Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new DBS.
Able to provide two professional child-related references.
