Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Stockport
Daily rate: £85-£95
Cover People are currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work day-to-day within SEN schools across Stockport.
The Role:
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to work within our SEN schools to help create a safe and secure environment for their students. As a Teaching Assistant you must be confident managing challenging behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the educational and social development of children with special educational needs (SEN).
- Assisting teachers in implementing individual education plans for pupils.
- Providing one-to-one support to children with SEN in the classroom.
- Helping pupils with SEN to participate in all aspects of the curriculum.
- Collaborating with other professionals, such as speech therapists and occupational therapists, to support pupil progress.
Candidate Requirements:
- Must hold an Enhanced DBS Disclosure
- Experience working with individuals with Special Educational Needs and complex needs.
- An NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification.
- Knowledge of SEN strategies and best practices with the ability to adapt to any situation.
- Patience and empathy when working with children with SEN.
- Excellent communication skills.
