What you will do:

• Conduct highly complex swallowing and communication assessments with individuals with learning disabilities, focusing on diagnosing speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Provide clear and effective treatment plans to manage dysphagia and related difficulties, working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Document clinical assessments and progress notes accurately, maintaining compliance with professional standards.
• Engage actively in team meetings and contribute to case discussions, sharing insights and expertise.
• Educate and support families and carers, offering guidance on communication and swallowing difficulties.
• Stay updated with the latest practices and research in dysphagia management, integrating findings into your work.

Requirements:

• Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) is essential.
• At least 2 years of experience working in speech and language therapy, specialising in dysphagia, is required.
• Being a car driver is preferable to enable travel between various sites easily.
