One of the UK’s leading manufacturers who design, manufacture, supply and distribute quality components over 100 countries worldwide are looking for an experienced Production/ Supply Chain Manager
- The role will be based at their UK HQ in Stockport and is a full time, permanent opportunity.
- You will report directly to the Production Director.
- 40 Hour Week - Monday to Friday 8am-5pm.
The main responsibilities of the role are:
- The day to day running and efficient manufacturing, assembly, stocking and quality of all component parts associated within the company’s portfolio of products.
- To assist the Production Director in every aspect of running the Component/Parts Manufacturing Division.
- The role is to oversee and create scheduled plans for the efficient running of all departments within the Components/Parts Division.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate:
- At least 4 years Managing Production/Supply chain and parts or components within a manufacturing environment.
- A ‘hands on approach and can-do attitude’ is essential together with the ability to manage human and material resources, to ensure production targets and objectives are achieved, utilise our internal stocking system for production planning / scheduling throughout all departments
- The successful person must have a strong background within a manufacturing environment.
- Good communications skills together with experience of production planning, supply chain management, monitoring sales orders/stock, forecasting for future demand of new and existing products is required.
- Proficient in Microsoft package inc Excel and outlook.
- Managing staff across all functions within production.
Advantageous skills/experiences would include
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure that all manufactured goods comply with the Company’s quality standards.
- An understanding of the Injection moulding process and Mould tooling would be advantageous.
- Good negotiation skills and an understanding of Lean Manufacturing however full training will be given.
