We have an incredible opportunity for a dynamic, highly enthusiastic East Africa specialist with a lust for luxury and adventure with personal travel experience to Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. Our client, an established tour operator for the East Africa region, is looking for a travel expert to join their small but mighty team!

You’ll be submerged in the world of safaris, lodges, tours, luxury and more as you carefully craft bespoke itineraries for your discerning travellers. Working with DMC’s you’ll be tailor making bucket list experiences using personal recommendations to create once in a life time holidays.

To be considered for this role, personal travel experience to Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda are essential with previous experience of B2C sales. Flexible approach to working hours to meet the demands of the business is also required.

Role of East Africa Travel Specialist:

  • Creating custom built itineraries from inbound sales calls offering a fully bespoke service with expert impartial advice.
  • Offering an enthusiastic and passionate approach to each enquiry.
  • The ability to offer the customer alternative solutions if the original offering does not meet the customer requirements
  • Making accurate cost calculations, and providing customers with quotations quickly and efficiently.
  • Work pro-actively as part of a small team

Skills required for the role:

  • Background of B2C sales in East Africa and strong product knowledge of this region
  • Previous personal travel experience to Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda or Ethiopia an advantage
  • Tailor-made experience
  • Flexible approach to working hours
  • Able to work on own initiative with a pro-active work ethic
  • Well organised
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
