7pm - 7am

I’m currently working with and on behalf of my client to secure a qualified, highly skilled and motivated HGV Technician for their workshop in the Stockport area.
The company have been in operation for over 85 years, a family run and global company, so it gives you an indication of how well organised and how successful they have been. Always striving to deliver exceptional customer service to all their customers, both externally and internally (their employees, this includes additional training as and when required)
We are looking for qualified and time served HGV Technicians who can demonstrate a thorough understanding of commercial vehicle mechanical dynamics.
The role:
You will be carrying out inspections to a varied and diverse fleet.
- Carry out safe and efficient inspections, 6, 8 or 10 weekly inspections
- Services and repairs of all vehicles, trailers, and ancillary equipment in line with agreed schedules and operating procedures.
- Routine (and preventative) maintenance
- MOT preparation
- Scheduled servicing to DVSA standards
- Correction of running defects
You can expect to be situated in a positive and vibrant working environment where your efforts will be rewarded. A skills shortage can be trained by way of upskilling. What cannot be trained however is the right attitude and the desire to give your clients a first-class service.
You could be working on main dealer heavy goods vehicles (HGV’s) road tankers, all manner of tractor units and trailer units, curtain sided and rigids.
Requirements:
Ideally you will be fully qualified (City & Guilds), NVQ or equivalent.
Additional accreditations such as IRTEC or an EV qualification would be desirable, as would an HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence.
