We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join a leading global business services provider. Applicants will need to be a qualified accountant with experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) / Finance Business Partner role.

The Financial Accountant role is crucial in managing and analysing financial data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations, and supporting the company’s financial health. The ideal candidate will be proactive, analytical, and capable of working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and hold bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. ACA, ACCA, or equivalent certification preferred.

Financial Accountant Key duties:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare, review, and analyse financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner. Identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate financial data and analysis. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections. Reconcile accounts and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Internal Controls: Develop and maintain internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.
  • Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation and submission of tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Audit Support: Prepare documentation and support external auditors during the annual audit process. Address any audit queries or findings as required.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making.

Candidate requirements:

  • Experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. ACA, ACCA, or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
