Jackson Hogg is delighted to be supporting a growing business in Sedgefield on seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join their dynamic finance team. If you have a passion for numbers, excellent organizational skills, and a knack for ensuring accuracy in financial transactions, we’d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Processing invoices: Accurately input supplier invoices into the accounting system and ensure timely payments.
  • Statement reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of supplier statements, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring accuracy.
  • Liaise with suppliers: Communicate effectively with suppliers to resolve invoice and payment queries, ensuring a professional relationship is maintained.
  • Payment runs: Prepare and process payment runs, ensuring correct amounts are paid on time.
  • Ad-hoc duties: Support the finance team with various administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and assisting with month-end processes.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, etc.).
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to support the wider finance team with ad-hoc tasks.
