Your new company

A local company based within the Stockton area is looking for temporary accounts payable clerks to assist with a current backlog. The company offers hybrid working after a periof of training.

Your new role

Working within a busy purchase ledger department, you will be completing the following responsibilities:

  • Processing supplier invoices to correct purchase orders
  • Ensuring all documents are coded and processed correctly and are 100% SOX compliant
  • Dealing with branch and supplier queries, effectively resolving issues
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Provide advice and support to all managers on Purchase Ledger related activities
  • Daily Bank reconciliations
  • Weekly Supplier payments
  • Monthly Expenses payments
  • Monthly CIS payments
  • Adhere to strict month-end accounting deadlines
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures
  • Excel, confident in data analysis/look-ups and Pivots.
  • Attention to detail is critical.
  • Complex Query resolution
  • Banking & Payments


What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous accounts experience in a similar role with the ability to handle large amounts of data is essential.
  • Comfortable working in a busy, high-volume environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Computer-literate with a strong knowledge of Excel
  • A proactive and positive attitude with good attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Embraces change and are open to the ideas and opinions of others.
  • Always maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude
