This principal contractor is seeking a motivated and experienced Site Engineer to join a high performance team in Stockton-on-Tees. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to make your mark on a vital rail infrastructure project. 

Role Details 

Location: Eaglescliffe, Stockton-on-Tees 

Rate: Circa £350 per day (Inside IR35) 

Start Date: Immediate 

As a Site Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering this project, working closely with the Site Agent to ensure all engineering, documentation, and quality control activities are managed effectively. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Perform day-to-day engineering duties, including setting out and monitoring site activities. 

  • Manage and maintain accurate project paperwork and documentation. 

  • Oversee and implement quality control to ensure all work meets high standards. 

  • Provide technical support and guidance to the site team and subcontractors. 

  • Monitor project progress, address challenges, and ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget. 

  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. 

  • Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery. 

Essential Requirements: 

  • Experience: A strong background in site engineering, with rail experience being essential. 

  • Qualifications: A relevant degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or a related field. 

  • Skills: Excellent technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and strong attention to detail. 

  • Proficiency: Experience with engineering software and setting-out equipment. 

  • Adaptability: A proactive and flexible approach to work, with a commitment to delivering excellence.
