We are currently looking for a skilled CNC Operator to join our team. As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality parts and components.
Must be able to work 3 shifts, shift allowance is payable when working backs 15% and nights 20%
The person
? Flexbile attitude towards job rotation and further training is essential.
? Previous experience working on a dress machine would be beneficial but not essential.
? Previous experience working within the manufacturing sector would be beneficial but
not essential.
? Previous experience operating handheld tools would be beneficial but not essential.
? Previous experience using engineering drawings would be beneficial but not essential.
? Previous welding experience would be beneficial but not essential.
? Effective communicator capable of two-way communication.
? A team player being able to work together to achieve targets and meet deadlines.
? Confident in identifying business improvements and effectively communicating ideas.
? Proactive mindset and an ability to work on individual tasks.
? A safety conscious attitude working towards the 5S methodology and the 5 Why
methodology.
? Comfortable asking for assistance when needed in order to achieve good outputs.
? Quality focused and comfortable raising quality concerns or queries.
? Good attention to detail.
? NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or similar discipline is essential.
Job role
? Operating fanuc robots.
? Following part set up sheets.
? Using hand tools such as pin grinders/ angle grinders.
? Completion of daily operation, TPM (total preventative/ production maintenance) and
pre-operation check sheets.
? Documentation completion.
? Manual handling tasks.
? Following engineering drawings.
? Weld repairs.
? Inspect quality of parts to maintain high standards.
? Inspect all equipment to ensure its in a safe working condition.
? Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary
adjustments to produce a better result.
? Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
