We are seeking dedicated and hardworking Production Operatives to join our client's dynamic team, a leading manufacturer of premium frozen desserts. The role involves working within our fast-paced production facility to ensure the smooth operation of machinery, maintain high-quality standards, and contribute to the production of our delicious frozen dessert products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Line Operation: Operate and monitor machinery involved in the manufacturing process, including mixing, packaging, and freezing equipment.
  • Quality Control: Ensure products meet company standards by conducting regular quality checks during the production process, inspecting for consistency, temperature, and appearance.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Follow health, safety, and hygiene procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment. Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines as per industry regulations.
  • Stock and Material Handling: Load and unload raw materials and finished products. Ensure materials are stored and handled properly to maintain their quality and shelf life.
  • Machine Maintenance: Perform basic machine maintenance such as cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting equipment for wear and tear. Report any malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors immediately.
  • Team Collaboration: Work efficiently within a team to meet daily production targets. Communicate with team leaders and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate production records, including batch numbers, quantities, and any issues encountered during the shift.
  • Product Packaging: Package finished desserts, label correctly, and ensure the correct storage or shipment processes are followed.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment, ideally within the food or frozen goods sector, is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting (within safety limits).
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions precisely and ensure high standards of product quality.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing production demands.
  • Basic Technical Skills: Comfortable using machinery and equipment after training. Basic numeracy and literacy skills for record-keeping and handling stock.
  • Health and Safety Awareness: Understanding of workplace health and safety, food hygiene standards, and cleanliness in a food production environment.
