Our client is one of the world's largest independent shipping, logistics and marine services provider, with over 200 offices worldwide. Well established with more than 6000 people worldwide they are now looking to recruit at their office in Stockton- on -Tees for a Customs Coordinator
Your role will involve:
* Effectively arranging and coordinating accurate processing of customers' import and export cargo through relevant customs systems.
* Mainly handling and clearing sea freight and Road using ASM Sequoia
* Ensuring that all work adheres to regulatory standards and company quality procedures.
* Supporting various tasks within your department as required and assigned by your line manager.
* Ensuring that all work is performed accurately and within the agreed-upon departmental KPIs.
Job requirements:
* Freight customs clearance experience, mainly imports
* ASM / Sequoia experience
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Prior experience in processing customs clearance entries.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Qualification in functional skills for English and Mathematics.
* A strong work ethic and positive attitude.
* Willingness to collaborate effectively and communicate clearly with other members of the operations team.
* Experience using Microsoft office products.
