The Opportunity:The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) is the largest animal welfare charity in the UK. Founded in 1824, they have just celebrated their 200th anniversary and continue to inspire everyone to create a better world for every animal. The RSPCA, which has over 150 local branches, is funded primarily by voluntary donations and is one of the largest charities in the UK. They also carrying out international outreach work across Europe, Africa and Asia. Nigel Wright Group are proud to be exclusively retained to support the Middlesbrough, Teesside & District branch of this amazing charity in their search for a Branch Leader. This newly created role is the first paid hire for the Branch and they will be tasked with restarting the operations in their local area. Building a sustainable revenue generating model through partnerships and regular fundraising is one of the main focuses.This is an exciting opportunity to really make your mark and be part of rebuilding this Branch. If you have a proven track record of running fundraising programmes and are passionate about helping animals in your community then this could be the perfect role for you!Role Profile:•    Lead the day to day operations of the Branch from fundraising to animal welfare•    Implement and build a fundraising program from scratch to create a sustainable revenue generating model•    Recruit volunteers, create partnerships with other local charities, build relationships with potential donors and identify new sources of income•    Comply with relevant rules and regulations   •    Build awareness and drive engagement across marketing bringing new ideas to the table•    Deliver animal welfare programs and work with the RSPCA Inspectors and Branch Trustees to identify future needs and build new welfare programs•    Collaborate with local vets, creating partnerships to allow the organisation to deliver more services•    Drive excellent performance from the team•    Identify growth opportunities including potential premises for the organisation to expand of their service offeringPerson Specification:•    Proven experience in running a charity or a team within a larger charity with a track record in running fundraising programmes from scratch•    Tangible results from a 360 fundraising role including managing operations and volunteers•    Strong leadership skills which may have been honed in another sector•    Proven ability to connect with the local community and create a vision•    A motivating self-starter with ability to work autonomously•    Being passionate about animal welfare is highly advantageous•    This is a remote role initially however there is a plan to move to a central location within the patch so ability to commute to central Teesside is essentialOther information:Nigel Wright Group are retained on this search and as such, any direct third party supplied or referred applicants/CVs will be forwarded to Nigel Wright for consideration as part of our process.
