Imperial Recruitment Group are delighted to announce that we are working in partnership with an Engineering Business who are recruiting for an CAD Drawer on a Permanent basis.

Salary: Competitive + Bonus

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Stockton

Hours: Full Time (Mon-Fri)

Job Purpose

This role will be working collaboratively with the factory based in the Netherlands to ensure that drawings from surveys reach them in an accurate manner, responsible for checking all surveys prior to submission to ensure that the information provided to drawing engineers is clear and accurate.

Responsibilities:

  • Review drawings and relevant documentation to ensure drawing accuracy and approvals.
  • Update and maintain drawings and revisions.
  • Create technical literature.
  • Crosscheck data received for errors or missed information and then consult and support the design process.
  • Convert specifications and / or design sketches into technical drawings.
  • Compile and maintain product technical files relating to key standards and directives.
  • Produce amendments to drawings/document schedules.
  • Liaise with the customer and factory drawing office to manage drawing accuracy and completion. within agreed timescales.
  • Provide KPI reports to Sales Office Manager.
  • Continually monitor current processes and make suggestions for improvement.
  • Liaise with other departments to create an atmosphere centred on delivering customer service excellence for the Company’s customers.
  • Manage time and workload effectively to ensure the highest standards of service.
  • Manage personal objectives to achieve in line with department and business objectives.
  • To actively live and instil our company values: customer centric, appreciation, integrity, reliability, respect, responsibility.
  • To follow health, safety and environmental guidelines and procedures in respect of personal and department activities.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties requested by the Sales Office Manager.
  • Interface with all site personnel, including line managers, production teams, suppliers and customers.
  • Key role to ensure excellence in customer service.

Knowledge & Experience:

Essential:

  • Demonstrable experience of using CAD software - Autocad 2D design.
  • Demonstrable experience to generate layout drawings from sketches and specifications.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of standard drafting practices and procedures.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of building regulations, health and safety requirements to design in line with industry standards.
  • Qualification at GCSE Level or Equivalent.
  • BTEC or HND in CAD.
