We are currently recruiting for a Estimator for one our clients on a permanent basis in Teesside due to continue growth and success . The role is full time in the office and includes a competitive salary based on experience
The role involves the following responsibilities:
- Review and process Purchase Order Requisitions from customers.
- Prepare estimates from client enquiry packages, for review and pricing by the Proposals Manager.
- Analyse and interpret client specifications.
- Prepare and present detailed quotations.
- Coordinate with manufacturing departments during the bid preparation process.
- Collaborate across departments and with suppliers to ensure accurate and timely information.
- Review and analyse client Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to determine project requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as engineering, sales, and project management to gather information for proposals.
- Develop accurate and detailed technical and commercial proposals, including cost estimates, schedules, and project plans.
- Ensure all proposals comply with company policies, client requirements, and industry standards.
- Present proposal documents and conduct presentations for clients when needed.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technical advancements, and competitor activity.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain relevant quotations and technical data.
- Manage multiple proposal projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience in estimating and/or sales is ideal.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong understanding of welds, fabrication, and stainless alloys.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Microsoft Project) is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus, but not essential.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- A good understanding of health & safety, environmental considerations, and quality standards.
