We are currently recruiting for a Estimator for one our clients on a permanent basis in Teesside due to continue growth and success . The role is full time in the office and includes a competitive salary based on experience

The role involves the following responsibilities:

  • Review and process Purchase Order Requisitions from customers.
  • Prepare estimates from client enquiry packages, for review and pricing by the Proposals Manager.
  • Analyse and interpret client specifications.
  • Prepare and present detailed quotations.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing departments during the bid preparation process.
  • Collaborate across departments and with suppliers to ensure accurate and timely information.
  • Review and analyse client Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to determine project requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as engineering, sales, and project management to gather information for proposals.
  • Develop accurate and detailed technical and commercial proposals, including cost estimates, schedules, and project plans.
  • Ensure all proposals comply with company policies, client requirements, and industry standards.
  • Present proposal documents and conduct presentations for clients when needed.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technical advancements, and competitor activity.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain relevant quotations and technical data.
  • Manage multiple proposal projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in estimating and/or sales is ideal.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong understanding of welds, fabrication, and stainless alloys.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Microsoft Project) is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus, but not essential.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.
  • A good understanding of health & safety, environmental considerations, and quality standards.
