Job Description:

Are you an experienced social worker with a passion for supporting children in care?
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, developing care plans, and providing ongoing support to children in care to ensure their well-being and positive development.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of children in care to identify their needs, risks, and strengths.
  • Developing and implementing personalized care plans to support the well-being and development of children in care.
  • Building strong, trusting relationships with children and young people, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met.
  • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, external agencies, and foster carers to coordinate and deliver effective support.
  • Providing advocacy and support for children in care, helping them navigate challenges and transitions.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, care plans, and interventions in line with legal and professional standards.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in a social work role, preferably within children and family services, with a focus on looked after children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with children, families, and professionals.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to social care and safeguarding.
