An exciting opportunity has opened up for a 1st Line Service Desk Engineer to join a Managed Service Provider (MSP) in Stockton-on-Tees. This role is perfect for individuals looking to build a solid foundation in IT support while gaining experience in a fast-paced MSP environment.

1st Line IT Service Desk Engineer
Stockton-on-Tees (Fully Onsite)
25,000 - 28,000

Main Duties:

  • Provide 1st line technical support via phone, email, and ticketing systems.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, escalating more complex issues when necessary.
  • Monitor and manage client systems, ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations.
  • Assist with setting up new equipment for users, including laptops, desktops, and printers.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and problem resolutions.

Tech Requirements:

  • Experience with Windows desktop operating systems.
  • Familiarity with Office 365.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).
  • Experience using ticketing systems.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory (user management, password resets).
